Brix measurement in principle
Vaisala inline Brix measurement is an advanced technology used to measure the concentration of dissolved substances in a liquid, specifically in relation to sugar content. Brix is a unit used to measure sugar concentration in liquids such as juice, syrup, wine and other products.
The sensor uses refractometry to measure the refractive index of the liquid, from which the Brix level can be determined. By analysing changes in the refractive index in real time, the Vaisala inline Brix measurement system can provide accurate and reliable measurements of the sugar concentration in the product stream.
